Tuesday p.m.

We had a drive to Waikoloa Village, which is about 7 miles inland from  Mauna Lani, so Kathy could go to the post office.  We picked up a couple of things at the grocery store and stopped for lunch at a little Mexican food kiosk that we like.

We walked down to the Fairmont Orchid to try their beach.  It is a 10 min walk.

Quite a sheltered little bay, the water was warm, but pretty murky, maybe from all the wind lately.  There were lots of fish even in knee deep water.

Kathy was excited because a turtle came along and rubbed shoulders with her while she was swimming.

Since we’d had quite a big lunch, Happy Hour at Tommy Bahama’s for a couple of appy’s seemed appropriate.

We’ve been here quite a few times and it’s always good. We shared 3 appetizers and had a drink and walked back to our place as the sun was going down.  It is showing signs of being brighter.
